On October 10th, at 9:00am, the San Diego-Imperial Area Assembly’s Grapevine Committee will be hosting a Writers Workshop to help members learn how to write a short piece of their story for publishing in the Grapevine Magazine. The Grapevine is also known as our fellowship’s “meeting in print” or “The International Journal of Alcoholics Anonymous.” First published in June of 1944, the Grapevine was a primary vehicle for founder Bill W. to communicate with the groups.
This workshop will have speakers talk about their experience with writing articles that have been published, a presentation of how to give (and not give) a Group Grapevine Representative presentation, tips for writing and publishing an article, and smaller facilitated breakout rooms with time for beginning to write your article.
This should be fun and interesting. Please preregister to receive a writer’s information packet that will be used in the workshop. There will be Spanish and ASL interpretation available at the workshop.
