The A.A. International Convention is put on by our fellowship every five years over the July 4th weekend. This year it was to be held in Detroit, but it was another victim of Covid-19. In response, our General Service Office quickly pulled together a virtual presentation of many of the panels that would have been held. It can be found at:
One of the first panels to be offered was the Oldtimers Panel, of which we have 2 of the 7 old timers on the panel; Joan S. (63 years) and Steve K. (60 years). Don’t miss any of these. Another old timer who has a connection to San Diego is George D., who spent some of his Navy years in San Diego in the 1940s and 50s; his talks are always a lot of fun. Also don’t miss the Friends of A.A. Panel, which has some of our non-alcoholic friends who have done some significant work in the field of alcohol treatment; this is always moving and informative. Another San Diegan got to share his message in the A.A. Stories Panel, so don’t miss him either.
